As a trusted automation solution provider in Vietnam, Autotech was chosen by Thyssenkrupp as a sub-contractor in the project at VinFast Engine Shop.

The state-of-the-art automation system in VinFast Engine Shop
On June 14, 2019, VinFast factory (Hai Phong) was launched and officially put into production. This is the first automobile factory in Vietnam to have a complete and synchronized automated production line complying with international standards. The most important part of this line is the Engine Shop. It is known that VinFast is the only company in Vietnam capable of self-producing engines for cars.
In order to enter the global market, VinFast has partnered with the giants in the manufacturing industry, including Thyssenkrupp, AVL, MAG, GROB to design the Engine Shop with state-of-the-art equipment. This Engine Shop can produce European standard engines, which are energy-saving, safe, and environment-friendly as well as have optimal performance.

With the patents issued by BMW and the smart automation system of hundreds of robots, the production line in VinFast Engine Shop is one of the most modern factories in the region. The robots are programmed with the most advanced technologies. Besides, each stage must go through strict technical tests and evaluations for quality. Errors are also immediately fixed on-site during production.
Machines applied 4.0 technology have many superior features such as real-time control through mobile apps, remote control, real-time error analysis, etc. Employees and technicians at the factory also interact continuously with the equipment through automated systems, thereby improving work efficiency, increasing productivity, and quality in production.

Modeling 4.0 factory, VinGroup has highly invested in the automation system to get the most modern production line in the shortest time. To complete the big picture, every stage is carefully performed and strictly supervised. Autotech Services & Technical Solutions JSC., one of the few automation service providers in Vietnam, was chosen by Thyssenkrupp as a sub-contractor in the project at VinFast Engine Shop.
ATTS Vietnam engineers worked hard for 4 months (01/2019 – 04/2019) to finish mechanical & electrical installations, and robot teaching and commissioning. The on-site robotics system uses the latest mechanical precision technology to manufacture cylinder heads, engine blocks, and crankshafts.
Automation services offered by Autotech have helped bring the ambitious plan of VinFast into existence. Specifically, the total production capacity of the whole factory in phase 1 is 250,000 vehicles per year, phase 2 is 500,000 vehicles per year, and the production speed is 38 vehicles per hour.
