On April 19, 2021, Siemens announced that it would become an official partner of Google Cloud, aiming at providing solutions to optimize factory processes and improve productivity. Siemens intends to integrate Google’s data technology, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) with its existing automation solutions to help manufacturers optimize and digitalize in the future.
Today, data are dominant in the entire industrial process, but many manufacturers continue to use outdated software and traditional systems to analyze factory information. This consumes a lot of resources and requires regular manual updates to ensure accuracy.
For more than 170 years, Siemens has built its business on pioneering technologies and led the manufacturing industry forward. By combining Google Cloud’s cloud data, artificial intelligence, machine learning with Siemens’ digital automation, manufacturing businesses will be able to aggregate factory data, run AI/ML models, and deploy algorithms.
